Fly Iowa visitors overflowed the parking this year on a perfect day for an air show.

The Vanguard Squadron, the P-51C Red Tail Mustang, and Julie Clark in her farewell air show tour were never better to the delight of all attending.

Iowa native, Doug Rozendaal, flies a rare P-51B Mustang.  Named “By Request”, she honors the Tuskegee Airmen of WWII with her distinctive red tail markings.  

A trio of highly modified Stearman biplanes landed in Boone to join the Fly Iowa fun!

The Iowa National Guard placed several helicopters on display in Boone including a massive, twin rotor, CH-47 Chinook.

The Vanguard Squadron thrilled the crowd with precision formation aerobatics.

Julie Clark flew her Beechcraft T-34 through graceful and thrilling aerobatics. Julie’s signature red, white, and blue smoke trailed color though the skies over Boone.
